Brian Kanterman was a former firefighter, EMT, and police officer. He was a deputy for Stafford County before getting injured while on duty and transferring to the Rappahannock Regional Jail to work as a corrections officer. Brian loved serving and protecting his community as much as he loved animals. He was 25 when he passed unexpectedly while at work on Christmas Day. Because of his love for all animals, myself and some of his friends are putting together a fundraising event to benefit the Stafford SPCA. I will be contacting the Free Lance Star as well as some local radio stations. I really want this to be a huge event. Brian would’ve wanted nothing but the best for these animals and we want nothing but to make Brian proud.

The event will be held at the Rappahannock Criminal Justice Academy, from which Brian graduated.

We will have food, baked goods, tons of raffle items, vendors, etc.

The Stafford SPCA will be sending volunteers along with dogs that are available for adoption so come and find your newest family member!

Feel free to bring your furry friend to our fundraiser to benefit the Stafford SPCA! We will have special treats for every doggie that walks in the door!

*****We will be collecting monetary donations as well as items off of the shelter wish list, which I’ve posted below. If you cannot make the event, please contact me and I will arrange to meet you for your donation. Thank you!*****
